Downtown Paris Promenade Event Application

During the 2026 construction season, Grand River Street North will be closed from Mechanic Street to the construction zone

But instead of leaving the space empty, we’re turning it into something special.

This summer, the area will become the Paris Promenade — a vibrant pedestrian space designed for people to gather, relax, and enjoy downtown.
Visitors can expect a lively atmosphere featuring games, entertainment, comfortable seating areas, and interactive programming throughout the
season.

Suggested Market Layout for Promenade

This layout has been developed as the County of Brant's recommended market configuration for events taking place within the Paris Promenade. Due to the available space and the need to maintain safe pedestrian movement, this layout has been designed to provide adequate room for vendor booths while ensuring accessible walkways and compliance with applicable Ontario Building Code and Fire Code requirements. Maintaining appropriate clearances is essential for emergency access, crowd flow, and an enjoyable visitor experience.

If you are considering an alternative layout, we encourage you to reach out during the planning process. We are happy to work with organizers to review proposed configurations and help ensure they can be accommodated safely. Please feel free to contact Chelsie Sharp at chelsie.sharp@brant.ca as a planning resource to discuss your event layout and help achieve compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
